Like every year, I enjoy the fabulous Countdown to Christmas on Hallmark Channel. I like to sit by the fire with a cup of something warm and fabulous, basket of yarn works in progress and watch for hours and hours. The kids watch some, play with toys for others and the house begins to feel like Christmas.
Over the last couple of weeks, I’ve seen probably dozens between Hallmark, Hallmark Movies and Mysteries, ION, UP and CBS. My current favorites are Love Always, Santa, Married by Christmas, Frosty, the Snowman, Rudolph, the Red Nosed Reindeer and Finding Father Christmas.
And this weekend comes, Sleigh Bells Ring. The story of a second chance love, a hand-me-down sleigh and a lovely touch of Christmas Magic. I haven’t seen the screener, but the previews proclaim that it will be amazing.
Here’s the blurb:
“A broken-down sleigh, a small town Christmas parade and a bit of inexplicable Christmas magic bring former college sweethearts together for a second chance at love, in the original movie “Sleigh Bells Ring.” The new movie is part of Hallmark Channel’s Countdown to Christmas, stars Erin Cahill (“Power Rangers Time Force”) and David Alpay (“The Vampire Diaries”),and premieres Sunday, December 18 (8 p.m. ET/PT) on Hallmark Channel.
When idyllic Mission City’s mayor assigns Parks and Rec Director Laurel Bishop (Erin Cahill) to bring back the town’s annual Christmas Parade with just two weeks’ notice, the rush is on to pull off a Christmas miracle. After she locates an old broken-down sleigh for Santa’s float, and accepts the help of her former college beau to renovate it, a series of mishaps threatens the parade – and the couple’s chances for a relationship “do over” – until an old photo, some silver bells and a little Christmas magic help open up Laurel’s heart once more to the love that has been absent from her life for far too long.”
So, I invite you to watch with me. I’ll be live-tweeting at @TMBCollier during the show and munching on popcorn, snacks and sipping on something fabulous. It’ll be on Hallmark Channel on Sunday, December 18 at 8pm EST.
